IHM international / Africa Innovation Project – Advancing Digital Health and Scientific Collaboration – www.espita.ens.tn

Launched on December 1st, 2025, the IHM Innovation Project represents a significant step toward the modernization and digital transformation of healthcare support systems through interdisciplinary collaboration between medical experts and engineering specialists.

The initiative is conducted under the leadership of Pr Georg Votava Pr Slah Hellara, Pr Amen Allah Messadi and Mme Naima Ben Mlouka, whose longstanding commitment to international scientific cooperation continues to inspire innovative health initiatives connecting Europe and Africa.

Within this framework, IHM International / IHM Africa is strategically represented by Naïma Ben Mlouka, who contributes to the international coordination and institutional development of the initiative, supporting the strengthening of partnerships between academic institutions, scientific experts, and technological actors involved in the project.

The academic and technological dimension of the initiative is reinforced through the collaboration with ESPITA, under the guidance of Professor Salah Eddine Hellara, whose expertise in engineering and technological innovation supports the development of advanced digital solutions in the healthcare sector.

The medical leadership and scientific supervision of the project are ensured by Prof Amen Allah Messadi, President of the Pan-African Wound Healing Organization. As Lead Medical Expert and Medical Director of the project, Professor Messadi is responsible for recruiting a multidisciplinary network of 19 African and Maghreb experts, while overseeing the scientific direction and clinical relevance of the initiative.

The project also carries a strong academic dimension, as three engineering students are currently conducting their final-year research projects (PFE) under the supervision of Professor Messadi, contributing to the research and technological development of the digital platform.

By integrating artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and clinical expertise, the IHM Innovation Project aims to explore new approaches to healthcare monitoring, medical data analysis, and collaborative solutions designed to support medical professionals and improve patient care.

Through this initiative, IHM International / IHM Africa reaffirms its commitment to fostering scientific excellence, technological innovation, and international academic cooperation, while strengthening bridges between European and African scientific communities.
